hance Mystère, founded by London-based independent designer lixi Chen and his friend Chloe Chan, who have a finance and Fashion Management background, specialises in crafting timeless leather goods of the highest quality.

The principle that the two co-founders conceive in the design is to integrate simplicity with abundant connotation. Unlike the usual machine-stitched leather products, Chance Mystère prefers and masters at hand-stitched leather, using saddle-stitching, a time-honoured method to produce masterpieces.

They are committed to making every single step of production precise by handcrafting products with fine leather. Incorporating interesting trendy elements into their timeless design, they make every product an artwork that stands the test of time and is worth waiting for.

With great passion and the zeal to serve its customers better, Chance Mystère makes itself the best choice for anyone who is looking for a unique design with superior quality to represent distinctive self-identities.

The Company Chance Mystere started in early June 2016, with me (Lixi Chen) and two other
of my friends Chloe Chan and Jacky Do.
I had this idea of creating a luxury handmade leather handbag and accessories at the end of my first university year at LCF (London College of Fashion).
This passion of handbags and accessories was developed throught my course which is BA cordwainers design for bags and accessories. During this first year I’ve also meet Chloe Chan who studies a BA Finance and Fashion management at LCF and Jacky Do who I known since a few year, who studies Sales and marketing direction.
So we decided to collaborate together and create Chance Mystere, a project witch is a fusion of all our competence.

When and how did the company started ?
Through my first year at LCF I have learned many techniques in the cordwainers domain, and after this first year of learning I wanted to explore more about handbag making, and develop my own style. At the same time, I meet Chloe and I shared with her what I would like to do, and her studies were the role I needed to build up this project. During Easter break, I also shared my project with my friend Jacky Do, who was also tempted to join the adventure. After the third term in June 2016 we decided to start building Chance Mystere, and in late September we finally had our office in Bermondsey (London).
Where do you produce those unique pieces ?
And how long does it take to make a clutch ?
